Poetry

Poetry can be an easy thing to do Poetry can be a hard thing to do You write the words You rhyme the words You learn a lot of lessons. Alliteration, personification, Assonance, simile, and metaphor. All are things you need to do When writing poetry. Noelle 4/30/18

April Weather

An April can bring lots of rain showers, But sometimes the showers can go amiss. Though there are sometimes pretty flowers, But snow raining down is not very bliss. April should be to bring sunshine and fun, But really it sends us cold, grey, and wet. April could have been some fun in the sun, But it makes summer easy to forget. Finally one day we get a good sign, The growing grass, flowers, and the willow. The sunshine is glowing, the weather is fine, The weather wind is nice and ablow. The summer of perfection on the way, The Sun reflects a beautiful ray. Noelle 4/23/18

Autumn

The glow of Autumns orange sun, The colors of the changing leave They are good for children’s fun And through the branches, the wind will weave The Crunching leaves underfoot Seem like flowers full in bloom Grassy paths perfectly put Which leaves have easily consumed The glowing lake reflecting the sun Bathed in light the trees will die Proving natures battle won And perfection basks in glories eye 4/10/18 Noelle

Homeless

I feel like no one listens, like no one understands. Inside me, my heart glistens, but no one thinks I'm grand. They walk by as if I'm nothing, they don't give me a thought. They don't care, I'm just a thing, think of my they sure ought. But sometimes a little hand, or a heart will bend my way. They drop a penny in my hat, Then they walk away. Someday I will walk away, from that bench that I lay down. The sky will no longer seem so grey I'll no longer frown. Thanks to many little hands, and hearts that bent my way. The many pennies in my hat, They always made my day. Noelle Clauser 10/24/17
